Soap solution

Light-coloured viscous soap solution in a glass bottle, sealed with a cork. Soap is dissolved into a strong solution, which is squirted into the womb due to its irritant effect. The woman is also harmed by this intervention.

As soap abortions were so common, the shaken bottle was included as a visual aid in the collection of teaching material for professional development training of the Eutin police authority (Schleswig-Holstein, Germany). It bears a little card with the label ‘abortion method'.
